Farmer Flood Relief Fund

Flood relief funding is currently available for Catskill region farmers through the Raise the Roof Donation Fund. Hundreds of community members and a dozen local organizations have contributed over $28,000 since September. A committee of local farmers will oversee the distribution of funds.

Farmers impacted by flood damage may apply for the first round of relief funds through January 15, 2012. Visit the Scholarships & Grants page for application materials.

The Watershed Agricultural Council, of which Pure Catskills is an initiative, is acting at the financial agent for the fund. Every dollar collected will be redistributed to farmers in need. Checks may be made out to "WAC" and mailed to 44 West St., Walton, NY 13856, or give online now.

Check our Webcalendar for details on local events.
