  Wellness Workshop
Join Marguerite Bower at the Masonville General Store for an informative workshop on “Living in Harmony with the Seasons, summertime herbs we can use as food and the foods for best nutrition of heart health and balance."

Learn how to prepare herbal “compresses” and their usefulness, as well as how physical changes brought on with the summer season cause our body to require different nutrients and therapeutic tastes, specific for the heart at this time of the year. Most food we put on our plates - vegetables, fruits, berries, roots, grains - have not only a functional purpose, but also an herbal component. Find out which ones support cardiovascular wellness according to ancient healing systems such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicines, and which ones compliment the western recommended dietary standards that we use today. As we move into summer, choose foods that help support a well-balanced body.

Each class participant will receive an easy to follow take home chart,
which is adaptable to specific dietary needs.
